We have exceptional bird hunting. We hunt pheasant, chucker, Hungarian partridge, quail, and dove. We have several acres of CRP and other fence rows for hunting. We also have several waterways which are great for birds. We raise all of our birds to insure they perform to suit us and you, the hunter. We pride ourselves in having good hard flying birds.
Our cock pheasants have 18" to 20" tail feathers and most people say our quail are the best flying pen-raised birds they have seen. We have several fields in which to hunt - big to small. We can have small parties or big parties. We have enough fields to have several groups at once. Thy are spread out so you won't run into other people or have their dog ruin your hunt. We also are offering release covey hunts on quail. These birds will be pen-raised and then released in July or August in coveys. We will put one covey every 200 yards. These birds will act just like wild quail. You can bring your own dog or we will supply a guide and dog for $125.00 a day.
We are open 7 days a week. Please call and book in advance.
Must book at least 4 days in advance for a guided hunt. This gives me time to get a guide for you. Our guides are courteous and knowledgeable bird and dog people. They will make your hunt the best hunt possible.
Out-of-state hunters can buy "preserve only" license. This will let you hunt on any preserve in the state for $7.00 each. They are good for hunting pheasants, chucker, Hungarian partridge and quail. They are good September through April 15. You can buy them online at www.dnr.state.il.us.
